Happening at the busstation!

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 18, 2009, 7:47 AM

Hahahaha =D

You know what happend to me today? xD
I was at the busstation, waiting for my bus(durr) =P I just called my mom to pick me up from the other busstation near my village because it storms :|
So I was sitting at a bench, eating some cookies I had left.
Suddenly an.. African? man came up to me and started talking in his own language to me, trying to ask something.. so I was like: Huuuh? :?
Then I heard the word "Havelte" and he was pointing, so then I understood that he wanted to ask if that bus went to Havelte as well. So I said "ja" (yes in Dutch) and smiled friendly.
Then he turned to the map, looking at it. After a few seconds he turned back to me and I heard something like: blablablabla kilometers?? So I told him in Dutch that it was like "vijftien" (15) kilometers to Havelte. The man: Vijf?? Me: Neeeee, vijftien!
Then he finally asked: You talk English? So I sighed from relieve and switched to English. So I told that guy that first the bus goes a lap around the city, and then towards Havelte. I thought he understood me, but his English sucked as well :O So I tried to explain with my hands and stuff =P
Finally he understood it.
Then he started to have a conversation with me: You work or study? Me: "I study, but not here.. I study in Dronten so I have to take the train and several busses."
The man nodded.
You every day go there? Me: "No, I have a room in there. Well it's actually a studenthouse, and we live there with eight students. But Wednesdays I always go home to my horses."

Silence.

(I don't think he understood me :frog:)

Then he looked at me and said: Netherland beautiful gearls Me: "Gearls??" the man: Yea gearls! and he pointed at me. You, gearl!!
I started to grinn. "You mean GIRL?"
The man started to laugh. Girl, yes, girl! You beautiful!
"Thank you" ^^; I said and smiled at him.

Then saved be the bell.. finally the bus came. :w00t:
I stepped in and looked for a seat. The man follewed me, but then I heard the busdriver say to the man: "Je hebt een strippenkaartje nodig!" (You have to have a ticket), so then man: Strippenkaartje?? The busdriver looked at the man and sighed. The busdriver couldn't talk English and the man didn't understand Dutch. It was just way funny to look at =P

At the end the man did buy a ticket, went with the bus, and arrived at Havelte.

Gawd all those foreign people who can't talk Dutch.. sometimes it's funny, but it can be waaaay annoying too ^^;

Did something like that happen to you too? Tell me about it ^^
